Holly Renes, LPC Graduate intern
Holly is a graduate intern pursuing her LPC at Liberty University. For the last 16 years, she has had the joy of working alongside her husband doing community development in Asia through sports.
Holly completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Sociology at Virginia Commonwealth University. Though she has known she wanted to be a counselor since she was little, her experience abroad sparked a passion for restoring hope in the hearts of hurting people.
Holly believes we all have resiliency deep within us, we just sometimes need outside support to help us find it. She is passionate about preventative measures and assisting people to find strength within themselves. She is a fan of strengths based, person-centered approaches, trauma informed care and solutions focused therapy.
Holly brings experience working with multicultural populations, and victims of trauma in addition to her own lived experiences of transition and raising a family overseas. She wholeheartedly believes we weren’t meant to do life alone and is excited to have the privilege of coming alongside people in their journey to finding their identity and feeling fulfilled.
When not working Holly enjoys time with her family, especially her two granddaughters. She has a new found passion for gardening, loves the outdoors, fitness, and evening walks with her husband.
