Morgan Thatcher, LPC
Morgan Thatcher is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over six years of clinical experience and many more years working with a diverse population of people. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from James Madison University and with her Masters in Counselor Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. Morgan believes in a holistic approach to healing work that is centered around a trusting relationship. Morgan is passionate about helping her clients work toward integration and healing by exploring past experiences that have led to maladaptive beliefs. She currently works with adolescents, adults, and premarital couples.
Morgan has a particular interest in trauma and people who want to explore how past experiences have shaped their current functioning. She also has a background in the public school system which can be helpful to her work with adolescent clients and their families. She is accepting of all backgrounds and is culturally competent. Morgan believes in a collaborative approach to counseling because she feels that the client already has the ability within themselves to create change and purpose in their life. Outside of the office, Morgan loves to garden, go on hikes, and spend time with her family.
